Responsibilities

The Planning Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for administering the Zoning, Subdivision and Vegetation Ordinances, update and implementation of the Comprehensive Plan and other planning related matters. The City Planner is the staff liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Adjustment and City Council.

The Planning Division can also assist with predevelopment services, such as zoning and subdivision verification, predevelopment meetings and analysis, determining the need to plat or re-plat a property, and other types of development assistance.
