Officer N. Longoria has been serving the Hitchcock Police Department since 2019 and she is currently assigned to the night shift Patrol Division, which she really enjoys. Officer Longoria takes pride in serving, protecting, and ensuring the safety of the community with high integrity. In 2019, Officer Longoria was awarded Officer of the Year. During that year, Officer Longoria obtained her TAPS Instructor Certification and TAPS Instructor Certification, being one of the first officers to teach the TAPS program at Crosby Middle School. 

The TAPS program is designed to bridge the gap between Law Enforcement and the youth. Students get to experience real life scenarios and Officers get to mentor their students on a weekly basis. This program has been a success in the community of Hitchcock. 

In 2021, Officer Longoria obtained her Firearms Instructor Certification, along with Low Light Tactical Operations Instructor Certification. Officer Longoria has recently completed one year at the Texas A&M University-Commerce and is working towards her Bachelor of Science Criminal Justice degree. 

In her free time, Officer Longoria enjoys sports, loves spending time with her family, and her favorite color is blue.
