Officer A. Hickerson joined the Hitchcock Police Department as a patrol officer in 2021. A native of Galveston, Officer Hickerson attended College of the Mainland Police Academy in 2020. Officer Hickerson serves the community with integrity, fairness, and with a commitment to ethics. Officer Hickerson comes from a family with a background in law enforcement, corrections, and service to the community. Officer Hickerson is dedicated to upholding the family tradition and positively impacting the City of Hitchcock.

Prior to his law enforcement carrier with Hitchcock Police Department, Officer Hickerson was a Juvenile Corrections Officer  in Texas City. Officer Hickerson’s goal with the department is to one day promote to Detective. While his long term goals are joining  The Texas Department of Public Safety and work his way up to the ranks of Texas Ranger.

Officer Hickerson’s hobbies are cooking, trail riding, shooting, and enjoying time spent  with family. Officer Hickerson is excited to start a long and rewarding carrier while serving the citizens of Hitchcock Texas.
