Officer C. Denton is a Patrol Officer for Hitchcock Police Department, where he has served the community with professionalism, integrity, and dedication since 2018. He is a certified instructor, field training officer, and mental health officer. Currently he is the Training Coordinator, Field Training Coordinator, as well as a grant writer for the Hitchcock Police Department. Officer Denton was the recipient of the Life Saving Award in 2020 for actions displayed during the line of duty. He is currently planning to attend Firearms Instructor School and Defense Instructor School. Officer Denton has extensive knowledge in Police K-9 training as he has trained Dual Purpose Police K-9s since the late 1990s. He is continuously motivated and believes that bettering yourself never stops, making him always set further goals for his career.

Officer Denton moved to Galveston county from the Texoma region of Red River Valley in 2018. Prior to his employment for the City of Hitchcock, he served the State of Texas for five years at Department of Health and Human Services, North Texas State Hospital (Forensic Maximum-Security Unit).  He has 31 years of experience in mixed martial arts and has approximately 15 years of experience in teaching mixed martial arts.

Officer Denton, outside of his police duties, enjoys hobbies such as hunting, archery, precision shooting, three-gun shooting, custom building firearms and spending time with family.

Officer Denton is a dedicated member of the Hitchcock Police Department and looks forward to serving the citizens of Hitchcock for many years to come.
