Officer J. Reese began his professional career by enlisting into the United States Marine Corp. Officer Reese was a Team Leader his first deployment to Afghanistan and a Squad leader his second deployment. Officer Reese attended Infantry Leaders Course, Combat Hunter, and numerous other courses in his career. Officer Reese was honorably discharged after completion of his enlistment in 2011.

Officer Reese began his policing career in 2015 in his hometown of Chase City Virginia. In 2018 Officer Reese moved from Virginia to Texas where he started welding. In 2020 Officer Reese was hired by the Pasadena Police Department and attended the Pasadena Police Academy. Officer Reese graduated the Pasadena Police Academy and began his service to the City of Hitchcock in April of 2022.   Upon being sworn in by Chief Smith, Officer Reese currently works night shift in the Patrol Division.

Officer Reese has set long-term goals in law enforcement including being assigned to Criminal Investigations Division and implementing a Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team in the area surrounding Hitchcock.  Officer Reese takes pride in helping others and serving the community as well as protecting the citizens of Hitchcock.
