Sergeant M. Tinsley serves to maintain law and order within Hitchcock, Texas. Her duties as an officer include investigations, preventing crime and improving the quality of life for all citizens. Sergeant Tinsley is the Field Training Officer (FTO) Supervisor and the background investigator for the department. Sergeant Tinsley began her career in 2015 with the Polk County Sheriff's Office in Livingston, Texas where she worked as a Sheriff's Deputy.  After having her son, she relocated to the coast to be closer to her family. Sergeant Tinsley started her career with the Hitchcock Police Department in October 2018. She is an Advanced Peace Officer and has attended an abundance of different training courses. She currently had her FBI-LEEDA Trilogy and is seeking her LECOP completion. 

Sergeant Tinsley graduated from Houston Community College in 2015 and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Southern New Hampshire University. She has a strong passion for administrative work within the police department, as well as learning new things. Her career goal is to have an administrative role so she can rise to her full potential. 

Sergeant Tinsley likes to spend time with her family by traveling the country, attending her son's sporting events, and watching the Houston Astros. She has visited every southern state in the United States and is currently planning trips to the northern states.
