Officer J. Tottenham was born and raised in La Marque, Texas and is a proud 1982 graduate of La Marque High School. Officer Tottenham was an amazing football player, and after graduating high school, he played 3 years for the Galveston Islanders semiprofessional football team.

Officer Tottenham's desire growing up, was to one day become a police officer. In 1991, he attended the police academy at Galveston College. Shortly thereafter, Officer Tottenham was sworn in as a Galveston County Deputy Constable, where he enjoyed working bicycle patrol as well as serving on the narcotics task force. 

Officer Tottenham has over 29 years of experience in Law Enforcement, and throughout his career, he has served as a Police Officer to La Marque ISD, Hitchcock ISD, and Nassau Bay Police Department. Officer Tottenham currently serves as the Warrant Officer for the city of Hitchcock Police Department. Today he enjoys spending time with this family and has a love for “all things outdoors”.
