WEEDS AND GRASS
A property is in violation if the grass/weeds grow above 12 inches. All property owners are responsible to maintain their property and adjacent rights-of-way extending beyond the property line to any streets or alleys, regardless of whether or not a curb line has been established. High grass/weeds are a fire hazard, contribute to allergies, harbor rodents & snakes, and contribute to pests like mosquitoes & chiggers and simply looks bad.
JUNK VEHICLES
No inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked, kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of disassembly, disrepair, or in the process of being stripped or dismantled.

DEBRIS
Rubbish, branches or trash on your yard is a violation. It is unsanitary and can become a nest for rodents, snakes, and other wild life. As a property owner you are responsible for any debris on your property.
BURNING
Any type of burning within the City of Hitchcock must meet the General requirements for allowable outdoor burning.
